NeuroMEDx's mechanoelectric devices (MEDs) are designed to be precisely implanted within targeted tissues in order to modify the tissues physiologic properties and function by therapeutically applying localized mechanical stresses and strain.

The MEDs can be implanted utilizing standard diagnostic methods (i.e. MRI and CAT), standard minimally-invasive surgical techniques, and the specialized delivery systems developed by NeuroMEDx.

In pre-clinical evaluation, MEDs are predicted to provide controlled treatment without the peripheral damage, side effects and costs seen with many current therapeutic approaches.

MEDs have the potential to become a disruptive technology; challenging the current treatment regimens of pharmaceuticals and generator-based stimulator systems.
